Uplifting core fitness classes in the heart of Hoboken, NJ.
Hoboken, NJ (named the 6th borough by locals) is located directly across the Hudson river with stunning views of New York City. I’ve lived here for a year and a half and loved every minute!
When I first moved here, I joined Planet Fitness and went around 2-3x per week. But after a while I wanted to work out in a group and try new exercises since my gym routine had become cyclical.
I Googled fitness classes in my area and saw that Local Barre was close to my apartment and offered a newbie package of 2 classes for $35.
After my first class, I was hooked (and sore!) The uplifting energy of the instructors coupled with the high-intensity core workout made me feel energized and excited to return.
I ended up purchasing the Barre Regular membership (6 classes for $149/month). The classes are unique wherein each ‘barretender’ brings new energy, a fire playlist, and new weighted series that challenge every muscle in your body.
Barre classes range from 45 minute to 1 hour sessions and they even provide childcare during some classes! The Triple Shot: Arms Abs and A$$ class is perfect if you’re trying to tone your muscles in all of these areas. The HIIT the Barre class is a new kind of high-intensity core and cardio workout. The only class where sneakers are required since every second is spent getting your heart rate up to the maximum.
I highly recommend Local Barre to anyone looking to join a great Barre class in the Hoboken area. They even have 2 locations!
