Beginner’s Guide to Making Green Smoothies

There are many ways to make a green smoothie, so here’s a guide for a basic green smoothie that’ll help satisfy your hunger and have a great start to your morning!

1.Make sure your blender can crush ice. This may seem basic, but many blenders cannot accurately crush ice and will make your smoothie very lumpy (I use the Ninja Professional).

2. Choose your favorite base (Whole milk, almond milk, oat milk, coconut milk etc.)

3. Add your greens ( I use spinach but other greens can include: mixed, romaine, etc.)

4. Add fruit to sweeten (I added frozen blueberries and raspberries). You can also add vegetables for extra green power. A few of my favorites include: cucumber, celery, carrots, and beets.

5. Add protein (I added flax seed protein to help control my hunger in the mornings!).

6. Blend and enjoy!

I really enjoy green smoothies in the morning, they instantly give me energy to start my day–even before coffee!
